The official logo and t-shirt for 2016

The 2016 Hollister Independence Rally is on track to be a good one. Randy Burke, president of Roadshows Inc. in Reno Nevada has teamed up with Brian Holt, the Official Gear Co. owner and Tom Recel, owner of Biker Design/Biker Clothing to put on a well-rounded, activity filled motorcycle rally. This group embodies decades of knowledge in the motorcycle rally arena. The group’s involvements in Reno’s Street Vibrations and Daytona Bike Week in Florida are two examples of their firsthand knowledge of successful events. They are also well-versed regarding Hollister’s motorcycle rally. They have attended it many times and participated in it as vendors. They pursued the contract to put on our rally quite a few times but for whatever reason it didn’t come to pass. I believe that there is a time for everything and I think their time has come.

With the disadvantage of receiving the contract to put on the event in February, a full six months later than they would have preferred, the team has made huge strides in putting together a great event. I met with some of the team members recently, and their excitement and enthusiasm for our rally was contagious. They told me that the positive response from Hollister businesses and locals was phenomenal. The response from the many vendors they are involved with has been very positive, too. Everyone wants to be a part of our historic rally. No other event can boast the place in history that our rally holds.

With huge sponsors like Geico and Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys already on board, it’s clear that our Hollister Independence Rally team is gearing up for what will be a fantastic rally. The Indian Dealership will play an integral part in the 2016 rally and Harley Davidson is bringing out their Demo fleet for the first time in a very long time.

Here’s a few exciting highlights of the 2016 Hollister Independence Rally. Bolado Park has teamed up with Roadshows as the official RV and campground site. With many RV and tent sites available, Bolado Park is a great place to stay and enjoy the rally. They will be providing complimentary musical entertainment on their outdoor stage as well as late night classic “biker” movies on July 1st and 2nd. Vendors will also be set up with goods and services providing an event within the event. It’s something we haven’t seen since the good-old-days of rallies past. A shuttle service from Bolado Park to the party downtown from noon until midnight is in the works. After folks show off their beautiful bikes downtown they can leave them at their campsites and catch a ride back to party. You can have a great time and no worries about drinking and driving.
